Debi Blood is a native of San Diego, California.  Her first published short story appeared in Highlights for Children when she was a teenager, and she worked as a stringer for TravelAge West and Sunset Magazines while pursuing a career in the travel industry.  Various pieces of  her short fiction have been published in The Atlantic Quarterly, LFP Inc. and Midnight Screaming, and several online publications, including multiple appearances in Every Day Fiction and Everyday Weirdness.  Four of her short stories appear in The Best of Every Day Fiction 3, an anthology of the best flash fiction available.

She has lived in the Southwest, Pacific Northwest and the Midwest United States while raising one son and a plethora of animals in need.  The daughter of Arabian horse ranchers, Debi is a passionate advocate for animal rights. She is also an accomplished worker of ritual magic and a fortuneteller, an unabashed follower of the Old Ways.

Debi currently resides on the windswept Southern Plains with her partner Mickey Mills (author of Haunting Injustice – A Phoenix Worthy Story), a spoiled yellow lab, and a strange little dog of undetermined lineage.
